Preguntas frecuentes

Frequently asked questions

Does the app decide who pays for the braces?

It decides what the Spanish Civil Code says, and shows you where that comes from: the article cited, quoted verbatim from the official gazette. What it does not do is settle your argument. If your court-approved agreement splits that expense differently, the agreement wins, and the app says so on every answer. And when the outcome depends on facts it cannot know — whether that private tuition was needed to pass the year or was an extra — it does not choose: it tells you why it cannot.

I live outside Spain. Is the classifier any use to me?

The app is in five languages, but the classifier applies the Spanish Civil Code and no other country's family law. If your case is governed by another jurisdiction, the answer is of no use to you; the calendar, the expenses and the log work anywhere. The app says this on screen, in all five languages.

Why isn't the split 50/50?

Because article 146 of the Civil Code does not say “half each”: it says “in proportion to the wealth or means of the person providing it”. The calculator asks for the two net incomes and returns each parent's percentage and euro figure. Those numbers are not stored anywhere: they are used for the calculation and discarded when you leave the screen. If you would rather split 50/50, or however your agreement says, you can set whatever percentage you like on the expense itself.

Is the generated calendar the same as the one in my agreement?

Bisagra reproduces the pattern you configure: alternating weeks, 2-2-3, 2-2-5-5, alternating weekends or a custom one. Pick the one that appears in your agreement and set the start date; the app works out the rest. It does not interpret the text of the agreement, so making sure the pattern is right is up to you.

What about the weeks that don't follow the pattern?

They are recorded as exceptions on that specific day. The underlying pattern is untouched, so the calendar stays correct from there on and the day shows a one-off-change marker.

Can the other parent see what I write?

No. There is no account, no server and no sync between devices. Each person keeps their own record, and only what you export is ever shared.

What does "chain intact" mean in the log?

Each entry is sealed with the SHA-256 fingerprint of the previous one. If someone alters or deletes an entry, the chain stops matching and the app says so. It shows that the log stored on your device is consistent; it is not a timestamp certified by a third party, and we make no claim about its evidentiary value.

What does the free version include?

The whole classifier with its articles quoted, the proportional-share calculator and the full calendar, forever and with no cap on use: one child and a limited number of expenses and log entries. Premium unlocks all children, unlimited expenses and receipts, unlimited entries and record export.

How do I cancel the subscription?

In iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple manages it, so cancellation and refunds follow their policies. If you change device, use "Restore purchases" on the subscription screen.

New phone: does my data come with me?

If you restore the new device from an iCloud or computer backup, Bisagra's data travels with it. Since there is no server, there is no other way to recover it: if you uninstall the app with no backup, the data is gone.

Which languages does it support?

English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German. You switch it in Settings, inside the app itself.
